Long-Term Care Pharmacy Definition Act of 2020H.R.7757
Rep. Schrader introduced the bipartisan Long-Term Care Pharmacy Definition Act of 2020.
Long-term care pharmacies provide medication management for the nearly 2 million seniors currently in long-term care facilities across the country. These pharmacies serve a unique need and should be regulated differently than large retail pharmacies. This bill will provide, for the first time, a definition for long-term care pharmacies that will be recognized under federal law. This will in turn eliminate significant regulatory chaos that has led to interruptions in prescription management for America’s seniors.
