Congressman Kurt Schrader released the following statement after the inauguration of the 44th President of the United States Barack Obama.
“Looking out across the National Mall I was struck by the millions of Americans who had traveled from across the country to be here today. As far as the eye could see were Americans who had stood for hours in the cold to witness the historic inauguration of our 44th President. The energy and enthusiasm among the crowd will serve as an inspiration as we get back to work to tackle the many challenges facing our nation.”
